building rock guys 09/05

I started my walk up the road to rebuild the rock guys that the snow plow had knocked down last winter by building the the rock guy in the first picture. Unfortunately for the newt in the next picture the rock i picked up for the top of the rock guy was on top of the newt keeping him warm.
I felt awful that i had ruined his cozy hibernation home. After i took its picture i quickly covered it up with a bed of leaves and hoped that would suffice. I didn't build another rock guy till i was on my way back home.

I really liked the reflection and textures in the first picture. The second picture shows algae covering the remains of the frogs egg clusters. The third picture is a mouse eye view of the pond looking towards the camp road. Once again i liked very much the reflection on the pond.

Trailing Arbutus amongst the moss. Still life with Cup Lichen, other Lichens, mosses, pine needles and pine cones. Some detached Trailing Arbutus flowers strewn over moss and pine needles.

The rock guys begin. these two live between the come and go pond and the Met site path.

Two pictures of reflections of the trees and sky in a ditch beside the camp road.

Rock guys on the large rock slab which starts the path to the Met site from the camp road.

More Met site path rock guys one of which has a wooden hat.

More rock guys...

ditto.

and again. The middle one reminds me of a Sphinx.

Still more rock guys... the last one makes me think of a youngster receiving a lecture.

and back to the beginning.
