walk to scummy 26/10

view of scummy from the original path before the beavers built the dam that raised the water level of the lake. first looking south west and last looking north.

looking back up the path. a close up of the far shore. an interesting branch.

standing on the weir looking towards scummy lake, close, closer, closest.

looking the other way towards 240. a close up and scummy prayer rock.

close ups of the water flowing to 240

the view from the south west side of the lake looking north west and north. a close up of the north view.

an ant and a feather.

panorama looking north northwest.

autumn colours of the tamaracks. looking towards the ridge and reflection and rocks.

beaver logs racked up. a favourite rock and looking back towards the woods.

views of a pitcher plant.

reflections in the pitcher plant. a reed.

the clouds seen from camp at the end of the walk looking west, north and northwest.

short walk to 303 ridge 25/10

two rock guys and a view from the 303 ridge looking south east.

second sunday of thanksgiving long weekend 13/10

the light was so beautiful i had to grab my camera and go for a walk.

a puddle with many layers of images. beautiful maple, birch and poplar trees

looking up and down the camp road at the suburbia turn off.

this is my favourite photo. i think of an oriental painting when i look at it.

maple leaves and snow. rock guys.

at the 303 ridge trail turn off looking east.

views looking down the road towards canp as i walk down the road.

i love how the snow emphasizes the trees. solid and strong rock guy.

looking back up to the 303 ridge and the clouds above.

snow on the pond beside the road. a wood pecker almost camouflaged on a birch tree.

close, closer, closest look at the ground cover. i was struck by the saturation of colour and texture in this vignette.

i thought these two tree trunks looked most intresting. a rock guy with a snow shawl.

still green when you look closely under the snow.
