i love mushrooms and this year has been perfect for the forest to grow mushrooms, very damp and mostly very cool. the first is a boletus and not sure of the name of the second and loved the crazy growth of the third one.
lots and lots of mushrooms. the first could be a russula delica as it looks very similar to the the picture in my mushroom book. the next two shots show a variety of mushrr=ooms growing on and near a fallen tree.
tansy plant with a fly, sedge and not sure what this plant is but i like d the colours of the leaves and the shadows cast on the wooden bridge across the stream coming from the weir.
sphagnum moss and more mushrooms that look like the cantharellus lutescens in my book. a frog blending into it's surroundings.
the sun lighting up the inflow bay. more interesting mushrooms, click on the third picture to see the very tiny white mushrooms growing in the moss.
the first two mushrooms are likely fibula or mycena and likely a mairie .
sedge growing in the small bay before the weir. the water comes from the surrounding forest. this is called terrestrial inflow. the next shot is taken looking through the weir. i am interested in the reflections in the water.
fern patterns and sunlight backlighting a fern.
this looks like a lactarius and likely piptoporous betulinus growing on a birch tree.
i llike this rock and the sunlight on these leaves. a maple tree amongst the birch trees.
