i wanted to take a picture of the barbecue on 240 beach for my blog nuts and berries so the walk begins here at the barbecue that les built for me. i had seen some twin flowers on the path to the weir from the soccer field so off i went . along the way i saw these other flowers . i think they are pipsissewas. i was wrong they are in fact shinleaf.
here are the twin flowers.
i noticed the patterns in the sand when i walked along the beach the other night before the fireworks began, but didn't have my camera with me then. so took these shots today.
more lovely patterns in the sand. another self portrait in the water. a treasure. a happy shark?
i continued the walk up to the beach house, past the johnson building, along the path to where the quad used to be and then along the fireline. i love the colours and patterns of the ferns.
i startled this grouse and her chicks while i walked along the fireline. this is a dogwood, i think. yes it is red osier which is a dogwood.
the honey suckle almost in full bloom. tall buttercup in front of cabin 1. treasures adorning cabin 2.
